Wayne Anderson Stevens, 90, of Wilson Avenue, Martinsville Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Martinsville, Va. He was born on March 22, 1925, in Rockingham County, N.C., to the late Maggie O'Neal Stevens and the late Robert Lee Stevens. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Iris Smith Stevens; and four brothers, Walter Stevens, Carl Stevens, Robert Lee Stevens and Willie Stevens.

Mr. Stevens was a member of Rich Acres Christian Church. He worked at E.I. Dupont and served in the United States Army where he served in the Battle of the Bulge. Military Rights will be performed by the Martinsville Henry County Honor Guard.

He is survived by one son, Danny Stevens of Ridgeway, Va.; two sisters, Linda Stevens Moxley of Ridgeway, Va. and Denise Ann Stevens of the residence; two grandchildren, Rhonda Moxley and Jason Moxley; and four great-grandchildren, Jesse Moxley, Sabrina Moxley, Johnny Moxley and Colton Moxley.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel with Minister Tim Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Va. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel and other times at the home.
