Shirley Lee Moss, 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, formerly of Paragould, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Shirley was born Oct. 19, 1929, at Paragould, Arkansas, to Frank and Mattie Houston Lee.

She graduated from Paragould High School and worked briefly at First National Bank. She married Robert Moss in 1959 and spent her life devoted to their daughter, Marian Peeler, and the First United Methodist Church of Paragould. Shirley moved to St. Bernards Village in Jonesboro shortly after George died in 2000 and enjoyed her years with "The Girls" there until moving to Jonesboro Health Care Center in 2011.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence White and Jackie Mason Wilder.

In addition to her daughter, survivors include her son-in-law Andy Peeler of Jonesboro; grand-sons, Eric Peeler of Little Rock and Logan Peeler of New Orleans; nephew, Michael Baldwin of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; and numerous Moss family nieces and nephews.

Services were held at First United Methodist Church in Paragould. Her body was donated to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
