Mr. Frank Ivey Lambert, Sr., 90, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2015 in the VA Hospital, Salisbury, NC. His funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Hatley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park with Full Military Rites by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 prior to the hour of the service.

Born November 24, 1924 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late David Arthur Lambert and Sallie Kimrey Lambert and was a graduate of Albemarle High School Class of 1942. Mr. Lambert attended the Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, NY. He sold Industrial Gas and Oil Burners and last retired from Superior Pipe of Charlotte as a sales and project engineer. Mr. Lambert was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII, serving in the European and Pacific Theatres. He was a member of West Albemarle Baptist Church.

Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his wife Mary Bryant “Macie” Haire Lambert in 1998. Survivors include son Frank Ivey Lambert Jr. of Kannapolis and two grandsons Christopher Ivey Preslar of Albemarle and Samuel Preslar of Albemarle. Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by a son David Bryant Lambert and a daughter Susan Haire Lambert Monaghan as well as a brother John Birch Lambert.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., #303, Charlotte, NC 28202.
