CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Minnie Louise “Bird” Combs, age 79, of Centerville, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Reid Health. Born March 5, 1936, in Hagerstown, Indiana, to Charles E. and Doris A. Terry Martin, Minnie lived most of her life in Centerville. She had attended Hagerstown High School. Minnie enjoyed baseball cards and sewing. Her family was her priority and she loved spending time with them. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Combs, to whom she was married on March 4, 1955; daughters, Vickie (Omer) Harrist and Karen (Christopher) Cox, both of Richmond, and Jennifer Burris of Richmond, Indiana; son, Michael D. Combs of Richmond; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchild; sister, Norma Knapp of Richmond; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis Miller and son-in-law, Danial Burris. Visitation for Minnie Louise “Bird” Combs will be from 12 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
