e was born on January 1, 1923 in Granby, MO. She earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a master's degree from Arizona State University. Mrs. Sims taught in the business department at Eastern High School, retiring in July, 1987. She was a member of Douglas Hills Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo Sims (John Turner) and Linda Countryman (Gayle); three grandchildren, Tony Migliavacca, Rob Baden, and Kara Countryman; three great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Lowell Wilson.
Her funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews. Burial will follow in Middletown Historic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
