Stephen Way / Monroe

Mr. Stephen Warren Way, 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from his residence. Stephen was born September 18, 1942 in Greensboro, North Carolina, son of the late Joseph Warren G. Way and Margaret Virginia Robbins Way. He was also preceded in death by a sister: Suzanne Way MacDonald. Stephen was retired after 32 years as a Lineman with Norfolk-Southern Railway. He was a member of Benton Heights Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his son, Tony Way of Monroe; granddaughter, Brandi Way of Indian Trail; former wife, Bonnie F. Way of Mineral Springs; brother, Scott Way and wife Beth of Charlotte; one sister, Sandra Way of Kannapolis. Visitation will be 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, with memorial services to celebrate the life of Stephen beginning at 11:00 in the Church Sanctuary, with his Pastor Reverend Paul Saleeby and Reverend Robert Burr officiating.
