Gail A. Hicks, 59, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at IU Health, Goshen Hospital.

She was born July 30, 1956 in South Bend to James F. and Barbara E. (Hatfield) Troxel. She married Steven P. Hicks on July 16, 1983 in Nappanee. He survives along with her parents, James and Barbara Troxel of Nappanee; Step-children, Tyron G. (Andrea) Hicks of Lake Oswego, OR and Kellie S. Hix of Nashville, TN; 2 step-grandchildren, Sabine and Elise Hicks and 2 brothers, David J. (Nicole) Troxel of Goshen and Jerry O. (Oralia) Troxel of Orland Park, IL.

Gail graduated from NorthWood High School in 1974 and was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Missionary Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading and all animals.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 27th from 3-7 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and an hour prior to the funeral service on Friday, Aug. 28th at 11 am at Beulah Missionary Church. Pastor Brent Poe will officiate. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Elkhart County Humane Society.
