Gloria was born to Frank and Celia Long Menze in Chicago Il.

Feb 14, 1953 she married Arvel Lee Vaughn, they had 7 children and divorced in 1964.

In 1983 Gloria was married to Edmund Przyborski , until his death in 2001.

My mom was the best! She spent many years in a bad situations, during her childhood, she spent 3 years in La Rabida Sanitarium with Rheumatic fever. While there, her baby sister Donna Rae passed away. Roy Rogers sent her a doll while she was there. When she was discharged, she left with a very damaged heart. She married Lee at a young age and they had 7 children in 9years. She had been told not to have any more children after her first which is me. After her 7th mom had open heart surgery at the University of Illinois Research Hospital and a pig valve was placed. She took 14 pints of blood , which was donated by the Great Lakes Navy sailors. She spent 3 months in the hospital.

Mom tried her best to do for her children. She could stretch one egg into 4 egg sandwiches for us.

Mom did every kind of craft imaginable and would often sell them at flea markets. She loved movie's, popcorn, seeing the sites and decorating for the holidays. I had to share my mom with my sibling and her grandchildren, until in 2009 she came to live with me and I had her all to myself (most of the time). We were poor when we were young and some things we never got to experience. Boy, did we change all that! Mom was in a wheelchair, but we spent the next 6 yrs, going to the zoo, Florida vacations, trips a family reunion, visiting new friends Disney World, Universal, Sea World cruise to the Bahama's ( mom even fed and pet the dolphins) in the water wheelchair and all. We went to the circus twice in one week, manicures, pedicures and more. I will always cherish our time together.

Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in by her husbands Ed and Arvel, her daughter Darlene, sisters Donna and Bonnie , in laws, Cleo, Claudine and Floyd Vaughn , grandsons , Robert Cory and Phillip, nieces Rebecca, Jeannie, Joyce, Robert Knuckles and Scott Taylor

she is survived by her children Donna, Doug, Bill, Debbie, Frank and Dale, her sister Cherie, 23 grand, 25 great grand and 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

On Nov 5, 2016, some of Gloria's children grandchildren and great grandchildren gathered to spread her ashes around the home she owned since 1971 and is still in the family. .

Gloria was and still is loved and missed by all.
