He was born Nov. 14, 1962 in Huntington, the son of the late Kenneth and Carole Ann Adkins.
Larry retired from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of honorable service. He was a member of CCC HOG Chapter 5439. He loved the outdoors. He loved to hike, kayak and camp.
He is survived by his wife; son; three sisters; two stepdaughters; five step-grandchildren; a nephew and three nieces.
Celebration of Larry's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with HR Whittington and the Rev. Patrick Figley officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Institute.
Gathering of family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
