Funeral services for Nancy Elizabeth Durham, 305 West Pine Street, who died Thursday, April 1, at the local hospital following an illness of one week from a fractured hip, will be held Friday, April 2, at the Delhi Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. V.A. Jones officiating.
Mrs. Durham was born July 26, 1862 in Tippah County, Mississippi. She was married to L.C. Durham March 8, 1882 at Coryell County, Texas. They came to Greer County, south of Delhi, in 1903 and she moved to Sayre in 1926. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1929.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. L.H. Davis of Mayfield and Mrs. W.C. Moss of Crawford; five sons, Cecil of Willow; R.L. of Sayre, T.J. of Breckenridge, Texas, L.C. of Vega, Texas, W.B. of Sayre; one sister, Mrs. Howard Hayes of Jacksboro, Texas;, H.M. Guthrie of Lefors, Texas, C.M. Guthrie of Brownwood, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Committal will be in the Delhi Cemetery with Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
