She was born on May 16, 1911 in Washington Twp., Jefferson County, Pa. Hannah was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Amy May (Corbin) Daugherty. She was the wife of the late Carl R. Buchanan, who died on Sept. 8, 1978.
Hannah was a homemaker to her beloved. She was also kitchen worker at the former Houck’s Restaurant in Honey Brook, a cashier at the former Cropper’s Market in Guthriesville, and provided private duty home care. Hannah was a member of the Honey Brook Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 55 years and served as secretary of the church board for over 30 years. She also was a member of the Brandywine Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Hannah was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Surviving is a son, James (Delores) Fagan of Honey Brook, a daughter, Pamela Reinke of Downingtown, a brother Chester Daugherty of Dubois, also two granddaughters and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11 AM from the Chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community, 3100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, with Pastor Tim Herr officiating. Interment will be held at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.
