Michele S. George, 50, of Hughesville, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born January 11, 1965 in Williamsport, she is the daughter of Donald F. and Estella A. (Route) George of Hughesville. Michele was a graduate of Hughesville High School and the Pennsylvania College of Technology where she received an associate degree in Mass Communication. She was an avid reader and was active in the Society for Creative Anachronism (T.H.L. Rowan L'Crotha) and enjoyed music, photography, dancing, hiking and camping. She also liked crafts, cooking, baking, embroidery, garage sales and most of all spending time with her family. She had worked at local radio stations for several years. Surviving in addition to her parents are a daughter, Brianne R. (James) Foster of Lakewood Ranch, FL; two sons, Riley D.L. (Rebecca) Dunkleberger of Muncy, Grant E. (Jessica Markus) Dunkleberger of Watsontown; a sister Maria "Jo" (Terry) Miller of Hughesville; a grandson Gavin E. Dunkleberger; a step-grandson, Chase E. Markus; and her companion, Nathan E. Sulouff of Muncy., as well as a niece and nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 29 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michele's name to Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS), 195 Phillips Park Drive, South Williamsport, PA 17702.
