Zella Loretta (Mays) Taylor was born December 1, 1937 in Jackson County and departed this life Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, being 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Henry & Fannie (Brandenburg) Mays.
Loretta is survived by six children, Paul Taylor and wife Betty, Doug Taylor, Randy Taylor and Patricia Lewis all of McKee, Sue Taylor and husband Ricky Fees of Des Moines, IA and Ronda Neeley and husband Keith of Annville. She is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Adkins of Bardstown, and Lillian Wilder of Hamilton, OH. Loretta was blessed with four grandchildren, Crystal Huber Ferrell, Pattie Sue Taylor, Debra Pate and Norma Robinson; seven great grandchildren, Shelby Reese Ferrell, Logan Ann Moberly, Nick Brewer, Linzi Brewer, Brannigan Pate, Jessyca Turney and Kaydeynce Britton and great great grandchild, Tyke Turney.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was also preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Taylor and siblings, Cecil Mays, Juanita Isaacs and Edith Farmer.
Loretta was of the Baptist Faith.
Funeral service was held 4:00PM Wednesday, September 26, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Bernard Thomas, Bro. Jason Thomas and Bro. Jimmy Morgan officiating. Burial followed in the Clark Cemetery.
