GALVESTON —Gwendolyn Kay Willis, 58, departed this life on August 18, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, TX.

She was born July 31, 1957, in Galveston to Ruffus and Maude Willis and was a 1974 graduate of Ball High School. She was retired from the State of Texas Child Care Protection Division and was a dedicated member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Chris Willis, Sr. (Blanche) and Cori Willis; nine grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Foster; sisters, Idella George and Patricia Foster; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.

Visitation will begin today August 25th at 5PM followed by a wake from 7-8PM at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor A.W. Colbert officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
