Mrs. Fowler was Valedictorian of the Colusa High School Class of 1944, she then attended Western Illinois State Teachers College in Macomb, IL. She taught school for a short time prior to her marriage. After her marriage she was an active farm wife and mother. She hosted the annual Salt Box Bazaar at the Historic Cambre Farm near Niota, IL for many years. She was a member of the Colusa United Methodist Church, the Miniature Horse Registry, and was known for her antique collections, quilts and needlepoints.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Betty Syfert, and one brother, William Lionberger.
