Ron Goff, age 68, was born at Benson, Minnesota, December 30, 1945, and graduated from Hancock High School where he played football and was named All-Conference quarterback his Junior and Senior Years. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris where he played football all four years. Ron taught high school history and coached several sports: football, both girls and boys basketball, baseball, softball, track and soccer, at Gary South Dakota, Cabot Vermont, Winona Cotter, Clinton, and Marshall.

Coach Goff shared his passion for sports with Daughter #1 Julie, Daughter #1 Michelle, and Daughter #1 Jennifer. He enjoyed talking farming and sports and recently was a Lakeview Lakers fan. His memory was amazing, and somehow he kept current with past students. Ron had a ready smile and a greeting for everyone.

Though in failing health the past ten years, Ron died unexpectedly at Harmony House in Little Falls February 10.

Survivors include Marcia, Julie, Michelle and Jennifer as well as three sisters, Sharon, Gayle and Laurie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Mary Eleanor Goff; and his sister, Janet Kellner.
