On Feb. 24, 1962 she married Lanny A. Robbins in Saylorville, Iowa. Connie received her RN degree in 1961, and worked until 1966 before moving to Midland with her husband to raise their family. They became members of the First Baptist Church and Connie enjoyed crafting, knitting, quilting, sewing, and was able to make clothes for her children.
She is survived by her husband, Lanny of Sanford; son, Jim (Kim) Robbins of Merrimac, Mass.; and daughter, Deb (Bruce) Vance of Midland; grandchildren, Ciera (Troy) Rill of Hope and Chris (Danielle) Vance of Midland; and by great-grandchildren, Lynea Rill and Blaire Vance. Connie is also survived by her sisters, Pat (Gar) Mayer of Williamsburg, Iowa, and Sandy (John) Fausch of Louden, Tenn.
Funeral services for Connie will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 from the First Baptist Church. Pastor Rich Williams will officiate, with interment to follow in Midland City Cemetery. Connie's family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler Street on Friday, from 5-8 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the First Baptist Church.
