Mrs. David (Ella Johanna) Swanson, 78, who lived at Pinney trailer court, Le Mars, died at her home Wednesday after an extended illness.
The former Ella Johanna Anderson, she was born Sept. 9, 1890, in Union township, South Dakota, and had lived in Deep River, Minn., prior to coming to Le Mars in 1959.
Her marriage to David Swanson took place Sept. 1, 1938, at Bemidji, Minn.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. John American Lutheran church, with Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial wil be in Riverside cemetery, Akron, under direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.
Survivors are her husband, David of Le Mars; a son, Lewis Ladeholf, Jefferson, S. D.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Lillian) Hill, Deer River, Minn.; six brothers, William and Rinehart Anderson, both of Le mars; Rudolf and George, Kingsley; F. H. nderson, Akron, and Edward Anderson, Hayworth, Calif.; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Heyl, Lake Benton, Minn.; Mrs. Minnie KIngs, Hayworth and Mrs. Ten Dimmick, Hawarden; two grndchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Swanson was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church.
