An avid bowler who also enjoyed playing cards, Jeanne Smithline, died Friday, August 29, 2003, in Vancouver. She was 76.

Mrs. Smithline , whose maiden name wad DeWitt, was born Oct. 30, 1926, in Sara, Wash. and lived in Clark County her entire life. She had worked as a cook for the Vancouver School District at Marshall Elementary School for about 20 years.

Her husband Kenneth died in 1997.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeaneen Linn of Vancouver; two sons, Charles Allen and Brent Smithline both of Vancouver; two sisters, Frances Timmons and Mae Harris both of Vancouver; one brother, Chester Buck of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
