Charles Ervin Caldwell, 79, of 470 Chamberlin Lane, Salem, Va., died Saturday morning. He was the father of Grady Caldwell of Bishop, Va., Mrs. Freda Bridgeman of Anawalt and Mrs. A. D. Moore of Welch. He was a retired sub-station operator for Appalachian Power Co. Additional survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy W. Caldwell; one other son, Freeman L. Caldwell of San Jose, Calif.; four brothers, Ed and Endle Caldwell of Bluefield, Eugene Caldwell of Princeton and Ernest Caldwell of Toppinish, Wash.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Chapel of Salem, with Rev. Harry Mcabee and Rev. David Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.
