Roy C. Peeples Sr of Willingboro, NJ went to be with the Lord Sept 15, 2002 at his residence. He was 53.
Born in Southampton, VA, Roy accepted Christ into his life at an early age, attending the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Boykins, VA. He was educated in the Public Schools of Southampton Co, VA; before moving to Phila in his teenage years. He studied welding and embarked on his career with Conrail in Moorisville, PA. He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. He was a loving husband and devoted father and friend. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Michelle Aleta Peeples (nee Hannah); by two young daughters Rachel Alicia and Royal Cherise Peeples; and by two sons Roy Peeples Jr of Willingboro and Aaron Peeples of Phila. He is also survived by his mother Vashtire G. Peeples of Drewryville, VA; his sister and brother-in-law Paige Lee and Antrim Smith of Cleveland, OH; sister Phyllis Ann Peeples of Sterling, VA; his brother and sister-in-law Wallace Wayne and Vernita Peeples of Virginia Beach, VA; and by brothers Robert Peete and Peter Robert Turner. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Mon Sept 23 at 12 noon at the Main Post Chapel, Ft Dix, NJ. There will be a viewing form 11-12noon at the Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. Arrangements by Perinchief Chapels, Mt Holly.
