Death of Thomas Jefferson Bushong
Died, at St. John’s hospital in Springfield, Sunday, April 22, 1917, Thomas Jefferson Bushong, aged 71 years and 16 days.
Mr. Bushong was born in Putnam County, Illinois, April 6, 1846. He came to Illinois when twenty years of age and lived the remainder of his life in Menard county. He leaves surviving him one sister, Mrs. Mary Sturgis of Petersburg and one brother George Bushong of Springfield.
The remains were brought here Tuesday afternoon over the C., P. & St. L. from Springfield and taken direct to Rose Hill cemetery where interment was made. Funeral services were held at the grave conducted by Rev. W. M. Groves.
