Born and raised in Wilmington, DE. Graduated from University of Delaware in 1910 with degree in civil engineering. Married Myrtle Leslie Miller on June 16th, 1910 at the Church of the Transfiguration, Philadelphia, PA. Traveled to Chile from December 1916 to July 1917 on a project as Assistant Superintendent for Briden Copper Co. Also lived in Fairfield, AL for a few years while working on a project in the Birmingham area. Was later employed with Pitt Construction Company of Pittsburgh, PA and as Wilmington Assistant City Engineer. Devoted father to children Betty and Jack. Last residence at 2708 Creston Pl., Wilmington. Died of a heart attack at Fitzgerald-Mercy Hospital.
