A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, in Canby Christian Church for Dorothy G. Eyman, who died Oct. 11 of cancer at age 78.

Mrs. Eyman was born July 3, 1920, in Portland. Her maiden name was Gerling. She graduated from Grant High School and Oregon State College, and received her master's degree in education from Oregon State in 1969. She taught business classes and was a counselor for Molalla Union High School until her retirement in 1980. She also served on the boards of the Rural Dell School District, the Canby Library and the Canby pool. In 1944, she married Steven J.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Jon and Paul, both of Canby, daughter, Nancy Holden of Beaverton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Disposition was by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the Canby Library or Willamette Falls Hospice. Arrangements are by Autumn Burial & Cremation.
