Harold Newton Pearson

Harold Newton Pearson, 80, of Athens, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015.
A native of Franklin County, Mr. Pearson was a son of the late Harvey and Bertie Goodrum Pearson. He was a retired maintenance superintendent for Athens-Clarke County.
Survivors include sons, David Pearson of Athens and Steve Pearson of Pendergrass; daughter, Regina Sloan of Hull; brothers, Frank Pearson and Gene Pearson; sisters, Lorene Sorrow, Kathryn Swindel, Willette Jackson, Vonnie Parnell, Belinda Smith and Rebecca Bradberry; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24 at 2 p.m. at Christian Life Worship Center. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 23 from 2-4 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home.
