Daughter of Joseph Howard and Rebecca Lytle Howard of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

In June 1782 she traveled with mother Rebecca Lytle Howard and husband Samuel to Nelson Co., Ky. Probably by wagon to Pittsburgh and then built large flatboats to float down the Ohio River getting off at the falls at Louisville or at Limestone (Maysville, KY). They moved with several other families including: Howard, Herron, Huston, Samuels, Wakefield, Brown and maybe Cain and settled near Bloomfield, Nelson Co., Ky.

Possibly buried next to her husband Samuel Greer whose gravesite is at the top of a hill on the Jack Briggs farm, about 1/4 mile south of the Bloomfield-Bardstown Rd. Site was marked by the DAR in 1996 in recognition of his service in Cumberland County, PA militia during the Revolutionary War.
