Services for Harold G. "Red" Allen, 66, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at George A. Smith and Sons' Main Street Chapel with the Rev. Paul Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Allen, a retired plumber and pipefitter and former owner of his own company, died early Tuesday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a year's illness. He was born in Arkansas, son of the late Amos Henry and Ethel Frances Pelot Allen, and was a member of the North Jackson Baptist Church. He also belonged to Elks Lodge No. 192 and to St. John Masonic Lodge No. 45, both here, and to Al Chymia Shrine Temple in Memphis.
