M. D. KIVETT

DEAD AT HIS HOME
Death of aged Man said to Have
Been Caused By Heat Attack
During the Night

Liberty, April 15 - Meredith Dock Kivett, 91, was found dead in bed at his home three miles south of Liberty today by a neighbor. Death was attributed to a heart attack which was thought to have occurred sometime during the night, Kivett resided by himself, and when he failed to answer to repeated calls, the door was forcibly opened.
Mr. Kivett's sister, Mrs. Louvina Furguson, 93, died last Wednesday and was buried today at 2 o'clock at Kivett's Baptist church.
He is survived by four sons, Henry J. Kivett, of Liberty; Tommy Kivett of High Point; Walter, of Jamestown, and Davis of Liberty; and three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Williams, of Liberty; Mrs. Jerry Langley, of Staley; and Mrs. C. B. Turner, of Liberty.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but the funeral will probably be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Kivett's Baptist church, with interment in the church cemetery.
