BELOIT YOUTH LOSS HIS LIFE UNDER TRAIN
Randall Horton, age 20, was instantly killed late Friday afternoon when he fell beneath the wheels of a switch train he was attempting to board in the Consumers' Sand & Gravel company pit near South Beloit.
The train was traveling at a low rate of speed. Members of the crew saw Horton fall under the wheels. He was death when picked up. Coroner Fred C. Olson, of Rockford, will conduct an inquest at 2:30 o'clock next Tuesday afternoon.

Randall was said to be flipping a train in another account. Other witnesses gave similar versions, one being Randall boarded the train, slipped, and fell. Working as a car cleaner, Randall was not in his work territory. The moving train was going about six miles an hour, stopping about 30 feet beyond the body of Randall Horton.
