Herbert A. (Bart) Henderson,78, a life long resident of Fort Cobb, was called home by the Lord on Friday, August 21, 2015 at his home south of Fort Cobb. Bart was born December 15, 1936 in Fort Cobb to Chester Leroy and Cordia Mae (Harris) Henderson. He married Connie Borden on April 12, 1957 in Fort Cobb. To this union was born 5 children. He worked for Caddo County District 3 for 38 years then at Public Service of Oklahoma for 9 years and retired in 2011. Bart was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Cobb.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Connie Henderson of the home; 3 sons: Johnnie and wife, Beverly of Fort Cobb, Joel and wife Connie Jo of Fort Cobb and James and wife, Stacy of Collinsville, Oklahoma; 2 daughters: Nancy Henderson and special companion, Bill Whitman of Fort Cobb and Margaret Ann Tycer and husband, Josh of Fort Cobb; grandchildren: Billy Joe Henderson of Tucson, Arizona, Kearsten Williams of Fort Cobb, Dr. Kyle Glenn Henderson of Yukon, Kellon Henderson of Cordell, Devon Berndsen of Fort Cobb, Bria Chaffin and Alexandria Tycer of Fort Cobb, Mariah and Morgan Nickell ; great grandchildren: Kennedy Jo and McKinley Henderson, Jennica Rein Williams, soon to be grandson, Maddox Kai Henderson, Daxton and Kimber Berndsen; brother, Curt Henderson of Fort Cobb; sister, Margie (Dot) Goodwin of Fairland, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Bernice (Aunt Bee) Henderson of Fort Cobb and Euvonda Henderson of Corn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Bart is preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers: Vernon, R.G., Ralph, and Harold Henderson; aunt: Maude Henderson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb. rev. Matt Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb. Services are under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home.
