Son of John Henry Houpt and Margaret Elizabeth (Reynolds) Houpt.

Married to Mary Elizabeth (Bolinger) Houpt on October 11, 1900. Father of Laura O. and Paul Emerson Houpt. Widowed on September 18, 1904.

Married to Effie Belle (Harding) Houpt on February 27, 1907. Father of Ruth Elizabeth, Harold Edward, and Ralph Charles Houpt.

OBITUARY:

Jackson Township Man Suuccumbs

Claude Lee Houpt, 55 years old, died at his home in Jackson Township at six o'clock this morning. Mr. Houpt had been a resident of that township for a number of years. He formerly lived in this city where he was an insurance agent. He had been in ill health for over a year.

Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Belle Houpt, one daughter, Mrs. Laura Wallace of Jackson Township, one son, Harold Houpt of north of Shelburn, and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Curry of Farmersburg and Mrs. Will Corbin of near Graysville. Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist Episcopal Church in Hymera at two o'clock Friday afternoon. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery near Farmersburg.

Claude L. Houpt Is Laid To Rest

The funeral of Claude Lee Houpt was held yesterday afternoon at the M.E. Church in Hymera, with Rev. Jans of Clay City bringing the consoling message to the family and friends. Rev. Todd assisted with the service.

Music was furnished by the choir of the M.E. Church. The many beautiful floral pieces were carried by Mildred Harding, Ethel Harding, Doris Martin, Thelma Curry, Dorothy Russell, Hazel Musgrave, Dorothy Curry, Vera Corbin. The pall bearers were Jerry Musgrave, Orville Curry, Ernest Corbin, Murel Hood, Ivan Curry, Lawrence Martin. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery at Farmersburg.
