Mrs. Blanche J. Adams, 68, of Chula Vista, Calif., and formerly of Ottumwa, died the morning of Jan. 9, in Chula Vista.

She was born July 20, 1909, in Monroe County, Iowa, to Ora and Ola Greenhalgh Williams. She was a former member of Northgate Alliance Church in Ottumwa and a member of Winifred Lodge of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Auxiliary. She married Roy S. Adams on Sept. 8, 1930, in Oskaloosa. He died in 1974.

Survivors: sons James of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert of Riverside, Calif.; daughters Dolores Williams and Barbara Sparks, both of Alpha, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and sisters LaVerne McDonald and Marcella Marshall, both of Chula Vista.

The casket will arrive late Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel.

Services: Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, the Rev. Phillip Cook of Northgate Alliance Church officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery. Visitation after 8 a.m. on Thursday.
