Owens, Jonathan Kelly,

58, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation in Hawaii.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy; son, Nathan; daughter, Meredith; mother, Janie Morgan; and brother, Julian (Lydia).

Jon was a 1975 graduate of Atherton High School and a 1992 graduate of the UofL School of Business. He worked at Signature Healthcare. Jon enjoyed many hobbies, but his passion was cycling. He was affectionately known as "Big Jon" among the cycling community and had previously worked at Highland Cycle.

Jon was a caring and generous man who was always looking out for others. It is no exaggeration to say that he was loved by all who knew him. He will be terribly missed.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. The funeral will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 12 noon at the funeral home with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
