From the records I am finding in ancestry.com, it appears that Jack started life as Orange Jackson Bailey. His World War I registration was made out in that name, and he is shown in the early census records as Orange J Bailey. He married Nora Williams on September 15, 1915, in Bloomfield, Iowa, and in that marriage record, his name is shown as Jackson Bailey. From the 1930 Census records on, his name is given as Jack Bailey, and that is the name on his Social Security Death index and his gravestone. In keeping with findagrave guidelines of using the name on the gravestone, and with Jack's wishes that he be called Jack, I am using the name of Jack on this memorial.
