Mrs. McCleary was born on October 14, 1921 on Channell Road in Harford County, Maryland, a daughter of the late Ernest and Emma Serena (Daily) Cole. Mrs. McCleary worked in various occupations that included a nurse's aide at York Hospital for eight years and employment with McCrory's Warehouse at their York, Pennsylvania location for eight years. In addition, she worked as a cook for the Southeastern Middle School in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She had been a member of the Prospect UM Church since 1940. For many years she traveled throughout the Mid-Atlantic States as a missionary with Lay Witness Mission.
She is survived by:

Larry E. McCleary and his wife, Delphia of Red Lion, Pennsylvania
Donald G. McCleary and his wife, Joan, of Efland, North Carolina
Pastor Dennis L. McCleary and his wife, M. Jean of Delta, Pennsylvania
Ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Patty Emmel and Kenneth Smith and her sisters, Pearl Blevins and Clara Comer
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect United Methodist Church, 8 Orchard Road. New Park, PA 17352.
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Her pastor, Rev. Michael G. Trimmer will officiate.
