Deborah Ann Hathaway Hawkins was born on October 14, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee to Jim B. Hathaway and Roberta Brown.

Deborah attended Metro Nashville Public School System. She accepted Christ December 1978 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where she attended faithfully. She was employed by HCA Tri-Star for 20 plus years until she retired in 2012. Her hobby and specialty was her "hot chicken" and chocolate cake. She never meet a stranger and was always willing to help anybody.

On August 19, 2015 at The Residence Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee at the young age of 58 Deborah Transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim B. and Roberta Hathaway; brothers, James "Toby", John L., Joe M. Sr., and Steve A. Sr. Hathaway.

Deborah leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Michael E. Hawkins; daughter, Stacy and Tracy Hawkins; three granddaughters and one grandson; five brothers, Charles R. (Deborah) Hathaway, Donald Hathaway, Christopher (Serena) Hathaway, all of Nashville, Tennessee, Reverend McKinley (Jacquelene) Hathaway of Lebanon, Tennessee and Leon Sr. (Patricia) Hathaway of Lavergne, Tennessee and Nancy (Harold) Frazer of Whites Creek, Tennessee; devoted and loving nephew, Danny R. Hathaway; two aunts, Irene Smith Brown and Beula Mae Hathaway; one uncle, Jim A. Brown; mother-in-law, Mae K. Andrews; brother-in-law, David Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
