Walter O. Tolliver, age 58, of 612 15th Ave. W., Ashland, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001, at his residence. He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Ashland, the son of Eugene and Olga (Iverson) Tolliver.

Walter was in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He worked for Larson-Juhl and Ashland Industries for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather (Ted) Claremboux, Ashland; two sons, Bryan (Belinda) Tolliver, Washburn, and Michael Tolliver, Schofield; eight grandchildren, Shannon, Ayla and April Tolliver, Akasha and Kolin Claremboux, and Krista, Kaylynn and Dustin Tolliver; four sisters, Greta (Eugene) Boyle, Kathy (Richard) Johnston, Karen (Larry) Erickson, all of Ashland, and Linda (Thomas) Koleski, Elk Mound, Minn; three brothers, Gene (Kay) Tolliver and David (Alice) Tolliver, both of Ashland, and Jon Tolliver, Rolling Stone, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joan Henderson; and two brothers, Jack and Glenn.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Frost Home for Funerals, with Dr. Darrel Robertson officiating. Inurnment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ashland. A United Chequamegon Veterans Service will be held 2:45 p.m. on Friday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Ashland.
