"Funeral services for Mrs. Duly Ann Callicotte, widow of William R. Callicote, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Funk at Fort Lupton, Colorado, were held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Yeager mortuary, Denver. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
"Mrs Callicotte's death followed an illness of but a few days. Her husband who was prominent in business and politics in Colorado for years, was killed in 1920 at Colfax avenue and Broadway, when he was struck by a driverless automobile which careened wildly down the Colfax avenue hill from a parking place at Sherman street.
"Since the death of her husband Mrs. Callicotte had made her home with her daughter in Fort Lupton. Besides Mrs. Funk, Mrs. Callicotte is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Maude Maqxfield of Carbondale, Colorado, and one son, J.D. Callicotte, also of Carbondale.
"Both Mr. and Mrs. Callicotte were well known here, they having lived here several years and at Carbondale for several years.
"Back in 1885-6 Mr. Callicotte was in charge of the Lincoln School, in fact he was the only teacher in Aspen for a time. Since that time two additions have been added to the building and several teachers are employed."
