Richmond -- Kevin Dwayne Boyce, 44 years old, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2006, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Richmond.

Kevin was born in Richmond, Ind., on June 11, 1962. He grew up in Wayne County and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1981.

He was a journeyman carpenter and had worked at McCurdy's Construction in Richmond and then worked as a skilled welder for A.O. Smith Automotive in Rockford, Ill. Most recently, he had been the district manager for Caravan Knight Environmental Service in Indianapolis.

Kevin was a member of the Family Praise Center in Noblesville.

Survivors include four children, Scott VanWinkle of Richmond, Jarrod Brummett and Renee Boyce, both of Rockford, Ill., and Justin John Thomas Boyce of Noblesville; one brother and his wife, Harl and Saundra Boyce of Dublin; three sisters and their spouses, Cindy and Jeff Lewis of Webster, Teresa and Mark Hunter of Dublin, Janelle and Ahmet Altin of Hill Air Force Base, Utah; stepfather, James Lockwood of Richmond; stepbrother, Curtis (wife Mary) Lockwood of Virginia Beach, Va.; stepsister, Rebecca Sharp Lockwood of Richmond; special friend, Sandra Patrick; first wife, Loretta King of Richmond; second wife, Kim Boyce of Rockford, Ill.; third wife, Nicole Boyce of Noblesville; 11 nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Aunt Noreen and Uncle Willard.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Boyce on April 6, 1968, and his mother, Joan S. Olinger Lockwood on Jan. 15, 2006.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin. Rev. Mark Fisher will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery on Smoky Row Road [Carlos Road] north of Greens Fork. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the funeral home.
