Marilyn M. Sharp, 71, of Elizabeth, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, in The Family Hospice and Palliative Care Center. Born in McKeesport on April 6, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Hazel Kemp Ziegler. A wife and mother, Marilyn was a 1962 graduate of McKeesport High School. She was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church and attended classes at Waynesburg College, through the Pittsburgh Seminary, and was ordained a Commissioned Lay Pastor in the Presbyterian Church. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert J. Sharp; two daughters, Patricia Lynn Sharp of Pittsburgh, and Debra Lee (Martin) Orendt of Harrison City; granddaughter, Mackenzie Sara Orendt; a close family friend, Michael Ford of Pittsburgh; brother, Ronald (Janet) Ziegler of Elizabeth Township; sister-in-law, Linda (David) Pekala of Naperville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Family and friends are asked to meet at noon Saturday at Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 2150 Round Hill Church Road, Elizabeth, for a funeral service with the Rev. Matt Stith officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
