Mrs. Alice S. Bivens, 88, a resident of Jefferson Square Manor, died there Oct. 12 at 4:47 p.m.
She was born July 9, 1889, in Van Buren County to James and Mary Pool Hull and was a lifetime Ottumwan.
She married Thomas W. Bivens in April [sic] 1909 Keosauqua. He died in 1963.
Survivors: sons Jesse and Robert W., both of Ottumwa, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday in Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Clinton Baker of Valley Faith Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery.
