Evelyn Corley, 92, of Stanberry, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, at a Stanberry nursing home. Evelyn, the daughter of Ore and Ora Zora (Gunter) Jennings, was born March 27, 1918, in Alanthus, Mo. On December 24, 1940, Evelyn was united in marriage to William Guy Corley. He preceded her in death November 16, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; Wayne, Harold, Lester, Murvin and James Holis Jennings, and two sisters; Ermal Jennings and Delores Ward. Evelyn was a homemaker and had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Stanberry First Baptist Church, Past Matron of Chapter #133 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Golden, Colorado, Past Noble Grand of Kingman Rebecca Lodge #12 in Kingman, Arizona and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. Survivors include 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 sisters, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
