Patricia Louise Aikey-Tyson, 9, of Shakespeare Road, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Sept. 16, 2005, at Evangelical Community Hospital, a daughter of Rachel L. Aikey, of Milton, Walter L. III and Jennifer R. (Stookey) Tyson, and legal guardians, Dale and Alice Murray, of Milton.
Patricia was a fourth grader at Montandon Elementary School. She loved reading, arts and crafts, camping, fishing, swimming, bike riding, and amusement parks, especially the roller coasters. Her goal in life was to become a veterinarian, she loved animals.
She was a Junior Soldier, a member of the youth groups, and attended church at the Milton Salvation Army.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two half brothers, Dustin Walter Lee Tyson, of Watsontown, and James McNeal Tyson, of Danville; one half sister, Catherine Cora Tyson, of Danville; maternal grandfather, Richard L. Aikey Sr., of Milton; paternal grandparents, Walter L. Jr. and Debra Tyson, of New Columbia; paternal stepgrandmother, Gail Stookey, of Danville; maternal great-grandparents, Nevin Jr. and Nancy Aikey, of Milton; paternal great-grandparents, Jay and Amelia Buckles, of Sunbury; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one half sister, Mystique Rose Tyson; maternal grandmother, Patricia Jane VanKirk; and paternal great-grandparents, Walter Sr. and Thelma Tyson.
Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Salvation Army Church, 30 Center St., Milton, followed by a memorial service at 7:30.
Contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to the SPCA for her love of animals or to the Milton Salvation Army youth groups.
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland.
