James Thomas Trimble was born on December 30, 1921 in Douglas, Texas and passed on August 17, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas.

James is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Faye Norton Trimble; children Donna Weaver, Jimmy Trimble, and Patti Jenkins; grandchildren Melody Connell, David Jenkins, Jeremy Trimble, Matthew Weaver, Jonathan Jenkins, Jason Trimble, and Clint Weaver; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Jim retired from both the Air Force and Civil Service.

He was a bomber pilot in WWII and was awarded numerous medals.

He received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.

One of his special skills was carpentry, which he learned from his father.

He was an accomplished mathematician.

He also served as an active deacon at Castle Hills First Baptist Church for many years.

He loved playing cards and board games and earned the nickname of "Trump" while in the military.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapel, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24 at 9:00 am at the same location. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:15 am.
