Helen M. Goff, 86, of Freedom, passed on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. Helen was born on September 7, 1928 in Kent, Ohio, the daughter of Peter and Theresa Filomena DeCapito.

Helen was retired from the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.

She is survived by her children, Clifford (Pat) Goff of Freedom, Diana (Albert) Shafer of Ravenna, Linda Brown of Hiram, Jeffery (Kathy) Goff of Streetsboro and Sandra (Gary) of Nebraska. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, her sister, Josephine LeRoy and her brothers, Albert (Betty) DeCapito, Joe (Tillie) DeCapito and Vince (Charlotte) DeCapito.

Preceding Helen were her parents, Peter and Theresa; her husband, Cliff, her son Dennis, her brothers, Art, Ben and Paul and her sister, Ann Hulak.

The family would like to thank Robinson Visiting Nurses and Hospice for their excellent care and especially to her main nurse, Sara Pender, whom mom had a special friendship with during her battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service to be held at a later date.

Arrangements for Helen were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
