Arlene P. Young, 73, of Appleton, peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer for 23 years. She was born on December 3, 1941, in Laona, WI daughter of George and Violetta (Lemke) Kimball. She married Nordell T. Young on October 17, 1959, in Laona. Together they farmed in Waupun and Clintonville. In 1990 she began work in the CNA/Activity Department at Rennis Health Center for 25 years. Arlene enjoyed being hospitable, cooking, and shopping.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Nordell "Tom"; her children: Jane (fiancé Keith), Appleton; Nordell Jr. (fiancé Tracy), Eau Claire; Peter (Michelle), Suamico; Susan (Randy) Pepowski, Benton, KS; Michael (friend Julie), Weyauwega; grandchildren: Theodore (Faye), Eau Claire; Justin (fiancé Gayland), Sanford, NC; Joshua (fiancé Kaylor), Oconto; Taylor, Nathan and Alex, Suamico; Miranda and Joseph, Benton, KS; Katelyn Bauman, Appleton; and Jacob, Weyauwega. Great-grandchildren: Justin Jr., Andrea, Andrew, and William. Brother: Kenneth (Jackie) Kimball; sisters: Marilyn Shampo, Clara (Duncan) Mc Rae, and Ila Mae (Adrian) Turgeon; sisters-in-law, Gladys Zietkowski and Edna (Joe) Janowski, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George Jr., Walter, Ernest, and Delroy; brothers-in-law John Shampo, Lionel Young, Robert Young, Tony Zietkowski; sisters-in-law Lois Kimball and Karen Young and Nephew Kenneth "Chuckie" Kimball.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Arul Joseph I. officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bear Creek.
