My Great Grandfather on my mother side.

He was the son of Baltzer II and Kathryn (Fox).He had a brother named Jerome. He was a farmer and dairyman in South Bend,IN. He married Dora McCullough and had three sons; Preston, Jerome and Kenneth.

This was one of John's farms in South Bend, Indiana. It is no longer there, it is where the airport is today.

South Bend paper: The "old days in the milk business were recalled in anecdotes Monday night when 40 members of the South Bend Milk council honored O.J. Wittner, who this month has been in the dairy business for 50 years. A number of the city's earlier dairymen were guests of honer with Mr. Wittner. Left to right, seated, are James Luther, Mr Wittner, Ira Shirk and Matthew Kuzmie: standing, John Sholly, Oscar Heintelman, Edward F. Kiefer and Elmer Hartman. A silver loving cup was presented to Mr. Wittner and testimoneals were given by his associates. John A. Buzolite presided.
