GATES – Carol Ann, 66, Armagh, passed away Aug. 19, 2015, at home. Born Nov. 8, 1948, in Johnstown, daughter of late John and Helen (Mroczka) Helenic. Survived by husband of 47 years, Roger D. Gates; son, Roger A. Gates, and wife, Brenda, Latrobe; grandchildren, Amber Gates and Cory Gates, both of Latrobe; brothers, Edward Helenic, Johnstown; John Helenic and Sandy, Armagh; and Thomas Helenic, Armagh; nieces, Lee Ann Badzik, Ernest; Sheila Hart, South Carolina; and Salli Helenic, Armagh; great-niece, Marissa; and great-nephews, Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Ethan, Hunter and Steven. Carol was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, where she served as a Eucharistic minister along with several other groups in the church and community. She was a proud mother, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family and other people. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, the Rev. Robert Washko, officiating. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
