Mary A. (Johnson) Nordby, 84 of Black River Falls, died Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Pine View Terrace in Black River Falls.

She was born November 6, 1935, in Franklin, to Ben and Helen Johnson. Mary married Gordon Nordby, June 27, 1953, and spent 62 years together until Gordon's passing in 2015.

Mary was a caring person that took every opportunity to dance with her husband, Gordon. They would spend some of their free time in dance halls all over Wisconsin and Minnesota. Mary and Gordon enjoyed driving semi together throughout the West coast. Mary also loved her family very much. She spent most of her free time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughters: Kathy Rice and Vicky (Eric) Gamage; grandchildren: Jason (Brooke) Ekern, Calvin Ekern (Jon), Alison (Josh) Zuleger, and Colt Uptergrove (Mitch); great-grandchildren: Jackson, Danika, Hannah, and Jameson; and sister, Donna (Kenneth) Greeno.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Helen Johnson; husband, Gordon Nordby; granddaughter, Nikole Gamage; brothers: James and Leo Johnson; and sisters: Margaret Carlson and Lorraine Wortman.

Burial was at Old Whitehall Cemetery in Whitehall.
