Mrs. Edna Lee Hooven Farmer, age 77, of North Wilkesboro, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at her home. She was born February 14, 1938 in McDowell, West Virginia to William E. and Fredith Louise Price Hooven. Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe Hooven, Elmer Hooven, James Hooven; and a sister, Lucy Semones.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth George Farmer, Sr. of the home; three sons, Kenneth George Farmer, Jr and wife Pam of Rural Hall, Joe Farmer and wife Tina, Curtis N. Farmer, Sr and wife Pamela both of North Wilkesboro; step daughter, Kimberly Wagoner; two grandchildren, Sasha C. Farmer, Curtis Neal Farmer, Jr.; two step grandchildren, Tara and Scarlet; two brothers, Doug Hooven and wife Georgia, Bill Hooven and wife Betty all of Galax, Virginia; sister, Mary Kenny and husband Larry of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 o’clock Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Brother Larry Adams officiating. Entombment will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 2:00 until 3:00 o’clock on Sunday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 902 West D Street, Suite B, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
